Back in the day, when Costco was known as “Price Club,” Daddy created his go-to “Price Club drink.”
Once a month or so, I’d tag along on one of his routine stock-up trips. As soon as he flashed his Costco Card badge, he’d make a pit stop at the food court where he’d get a drink cup to fill with his shopping fuel. Thanks to our many Costco trips, he had perfected his Ice-to-Sprite-to-Pink-Lemonade ratio. You may think I’m exaggerating, but this really was a scientific process for him (he’d carefully pour out ice, drink and start again as necessary). In fact, it was only in my later years that I gained enough trust to refill his drink!
