Did you know that Jon almost had to call 911 because of a hot pepper? In the old days he used to love to cook using a wok and would prepare it by first cooking and coating the wok with Hunan pepper. On one occasion the phone rang, he answered it, and forgot about the peppers. On his return, he ran squarely into what now had become a cloud of hot pepper smoke. A “few” of his exact words were, “I seriously thought I was going to have to call 911.”

Speaking of hot stuff, I got one of my favorite recipes from Jon, “Twelve Pack Bean Dip.” By the way, I am sorry I used the last of your dried Jalapeño pepper and wasn’t able to replace it.
