I knew Jon primarily from working with him at Philip Morris. But I have to begin by saying, that with all of his great accomplishments and devotion at work, I will remember him most for his devotion to his family. He spoke daily about his and Lisa’s life with Sam, Joelle, and Dane. He was not a Dad who left his children at home and thought about them when he pulled back in the driveway every evening. He brought them to work every day. Sam and Joelle, he took great pride in your swimming accomplishments especially the time you swam a zillion miles to raise money for a charity. He laughed about how the pledges had been by miles and how much he enjoyed collecting the money and seeing the expressions on friends faces that two little girls had swam sooo far. He was even more proud of your academic focus. Dane, as you grew, updated pictures of your growth were frequently on display in his office.
