Before we started dating | 1998 at Mom’s first house

From January to late May of 1988,  your dad and I were friends who spent a lot of time together. He pursued me, but I initially didn’t see him as anything more than a friend.

On May 2, 1988 — while I was on a much-needed vacation in Cozumel, Mexico — I sent a letter to daddy that contained this photo (in addition to saying that I missed him). You can tell from the photo we were already smitten, but our brains needed time to catch up!

As an aside, look at those bangs, the blue eye shadow, daddy’s thick beard, those glasses and those horrible curtains!
