In the past, I’ve posted about daddy hating telemarketers. Well, one of the things he LOVED doing was screwing with them.
He’d answer the phone and say “Hello, you’re on the air. What do you want to add to today’s topic of (insert something ridiculous here).” He’d talk in funny accents and voices. He’d ask if he could call them back while they’re eating dinner with their family. The list goes on.
Today, I read about a man who was equally as annoyed with telemarketers. His solution? Create a robot that will respond with “yeah,” “sure,” “mhm” and “ok,” along with some programmed nonsensical statements. The recordings of these calls cracked me up and instantly reminded me of Daddy. After all, in addition to loving to mess with telemarketers, he loved listening to prank calls (think Elvis Duran phone tap) from Roy D. Mercer.
